Mission of the Foundation

The foundation Ethiopia Utopia is a non-profit organisation whose end is to continue with the project of Angel Olaran in covering the basic needs and development activities in healthcare, education food provision, sporting activities and others of the population of Wukro (Ethiopia), and by extension to the region of Tigray, with the collaboration of individuals and public and private institutions within a process of accompaniment in thelong term.

And along this, it has been thought to build awareness on the causes of poverty and its influence upon the situation of the various groups object of our help in Wukro. To meet this end we shall be working creating awareness and educating the population in our area, opening up new channels of citizen's collaboration with the people of Ethiopia.

In order to reach the goals the Foundation intends to:

  • Work in the projects always using as a point of reference the needs of the people object of our help and collaboration.
  • Making easy the collaboration of those people wishing the social and human promotion of the population most in need in Ethiopia.
  • To obtain the collaboration of public and private bodies.
  • To adapt the structure of the organisation at each moment to the activities to be developed.
  • To gather resources by developing a policy allowing the organisation to remain independent.

 

An to this end, we wish to develop an entity based upon:

  • Guidance for those people in precarious situations in order to improve their living conditions.
  • The lay character and the political, economic and religious independence.
  • Voluntary participation.
  • Internal management which is effective, efficient and participative.
  • Cooperation with other organisations pursuing similar objectives.
